Kenneth F. Juncewski, 65

Kenneth Florian “Kenny” Juncewski, age 65, of Silver Lake, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 28, 1948, in Hutchinson, the son of Felix L. and Sophie M. (Fiecke) Juncewski.

Kenneth was joined in holy marriage with Bernadine S. Remer July 20, 1968, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with three children.

Kenny engaged in dairy farming for many years in rural Silver Lake. He also hauled vegetables for Seneca Foods in Glencoe, and was also a grain hauler. Kenny was a hard worker, and he lived for farming!

A great story teller, Kenny had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed playing cards for the socializing of it.

Kenny was a proud and honest man.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

Kenny is survived by his loving mother, Sophie Juncewski, of Winsted; loving children: Alan Juncewski (Judy Eisenmenger) of Silver Lake, Dianne (Kenny) Wraspir of Cokato, and Darlene (Daryl) Kiefer of Howard Lake; 10 grandchildren: Ashley, Heidi, Steven and Brittany Juncewski, Joey and Katie Wraspir, Nick and Mathew Schlechter, and Caleb and Sophie Kiefer; two brothers, Leonard “Lenny” (Linda) Juncewski of Winsted, and David Juncewski of Silver Lake; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He as preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine S. Juncewski, April 4, 2003; and by his father, Felix L. Juncewski Jan. 7, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, with Father Patrick Okonkwo as the celebrant. Alice Nowak was the organist for the Mass. Interment followed at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, and continued Friday morning, one hour prior to Mass, at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Joey Wraspir, Nick Schlechter, Mathew Schlechter, Caleb Kiefer, Dale Brinkman, and Dale Cacka.
