Ardys Marie Kosek, age 75, of Dassel, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born May 22, 1939, in rural Grove City, Meeker County, Harvey Township, the daughter of Arthur and Lillian (Larson) Pehle. Ardys was baptized as an infant, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth.
She received her education in Litchfield, and was a graduate of the Litchfield High School class of 1957.
Ardys was united in marriage to Kenneth “Kenny” Kosek May 3, 1958. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Jodi.
In 1973, Kenny and Ardys divorced, but remained best of friends.
Ardys was employed as a secretary in various jobs. She retired in 2001.
She enjoyed reading, baking, and working on crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
Ardys is survived by her daughter, Jodi Vogelpohl of Dassel; grandchildren Josh Vogelpohl and his significant other, Beth; Michael Vogelpohl and his significant other, Desi; Arin Vogelpohl and her significant other, Billy; along with their dad, Arthur Vogelpohl, all of Dassel; lifelong friend, Kenny Kosek of Dassel; sisters Eunice Rosnoe of Waite Park, Joanne Ausing and her husband, Gerald of Arizona, Kathy Nordling and her husband, Dick of Delano, and Bonnie Taylor and her husband, Stoney, of Grove City; special family, Chad, April, Andrew, RJ, Alexa, and Cayden; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lillian Pehle; and a brother, Chris Pehle.
A private family graveside service took place Friday, Oct. 10 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City.
