Marion Helen Loebertmann, age 78, of rural Silver Lake, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care.

She was born March 2, 1936, in Hale Township, McLeod County, the daughter of Alexander and Emily Hornicek Klenicky.

Marion and Leo Loebertmann were joined in holy marriage June 5, 1965, in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with two children: Patrick and Helen.

Leo preceded Marion in death in 1972.

Marion engaged in dairy farming in Hale Township, and lived on the family farm until she entered the Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in 2008. She worked hard on the farm.

Always happy, and with a smile on her face, Marion enjoyed embroidery, playing bingo, coloring, and dogs, and she “loved” jewelry.

A faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, Marion also belonged to The Rosary Society, and CCW.

She is survived by her loving children, Patrick Loebertmann of Silver Lake, and Helen Loebertmann of Monticello; sisters Rita Klenicky of Glencoe, and Martha Klenicky of Silver Lake; many nieces and nephews on the Loebertmann side; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Leo, Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Emily Klenicky; and by three brothers: an infant twin brother, Henry Klenicky; and Joseph and Stanley “Buddy” Klenicky.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Interment was at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Waverly.

Visitation was Monday, March 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, with parish prayers at 5 p.m., followed by a Rosary Society and CCW rosary.

Casket bearers were Bob Mochinski, Pete Reardon, Henry Loebertmann, Bruce Lorentz, Dan Entinger, and Glen Mallak.

The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family. Online condolences may be made to www.mareshfuneralhome.com.
