Tia J. Stroud Obituary – 3/1/2014


Tia J. Stroud, age 44, of rural Annandale, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the St. Cloud Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 3, 1969, in Bloomer, WI, the daughter of Steven and Deborah Marek Wikan.

Tia graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 1987, and later attended Kaplan School of Business.

She was joined in marriage to Joel Stroud Feb. 27, 1988, at Solid Rock Church in Howard Lake. God blessed their marriage with four children.

Tia was formerly employed in office/sales at an eye clinic, and Gage Marketing; and Tia owned and operated Custom Cleaning Services Plus.

A loving, kind soul, Tia was a comforter and a good listener. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, drinking coffee, had a passion for gardening, and her children were her greatest joy in life. She also loved the Lord.

Tia was also a very beautiful person, and will be missed every day by many people whose life she touched

She is survived by her husband, Joel Stroud of Annandale; children: Zachary Stroud, Bryant Stroud, and Hillary Stroud, all of Annandale, and Alicia Stroud of Cold Spring; a grandchild, Liliana Schmitz; her mother, Deborah Marek of Annandale; brothers Steven Wikan of Fairbanks, AK, Gregory (Jayme) Wikan of Mankato, and Ricky Wikan of Annandale; stepsister Emily Bauman of Big Lake; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives; and friends.

Tia was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; and by a brother, Taurus Wikan.

A private family service has taken place.

Arrangements were by the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
