Loren Lloyd Dahlberg, age 66, of Granger, IN, formerly of Cokato, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at his home, following a battle with leukemia.
He was born Oct. 2, 1948, in Cokato, to the late Lloyd and Marion (Lorence) Dahlberg.
Loren married Patricia R. Skarhus Nov. 25, 1972, in Cokato. He was a 1966 graduate of Cokato High School.
Loren worked in sales of trailer manufacturers, including Stealth Trailers in Bristol, IN. He and Patricia moved to the South Bend area from Ypsilanti, MI in 1986.
He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in South Bend, and American Legion Post 303, Mishawaka.
Loren was an avid sports fan. He was loved by many and was happiest when surrounded by “his girls.” A great man, and loving husband and father, Loren had a big heart and meticulous attention to detail.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughters Jennifer (Lance) Landers, Julie Chastain, both of Fishers, IN, Jill Dahlberg of Mishawaka, and Jaclyn Hardin, also of Fishers, IN; grandchildren Jason Dahlberg, Christian, Kemry and Carson Landers, Campbell, Steele and Quinn Chastain, and Jaxon Hardin; sisters Judith (Harold) Peterson and Susan (Robert) Zmeskal, both of Burnsville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place Monday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in South Bend, IN, with Pastor Steven Schwier officiating. Friends visited with the family for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, and Southlawn Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
