Verona M. Dietzel, 93

Verona M. Dietzel, age 93, of Hutchinson, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the Lakeside Home in Dassel.

Her funeral Service will be Monday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Gerhard Bode officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Benton Township, Cologne.

Casket bearers will be Linda and Boyd Welch, Mary and Don Schnaser, David Dietzel, and Chuck Dietzel.

Verona was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Bergen Twp., McLeod County, the daughter of Julius and Alma (Marks) Kruschke. She was baptized Nov. 12, 1922, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie; and confirmed April 5, 1936, at the same church, by the Rev. John Schert.

Verona was united in marriage to Rueben Dietzel Oct. 20, 1946, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, by the Rev. Bert Streufert.

Verona had many interests, which included cooking, baking, gardening, tending to her flowers, sewing, and visiting with her family, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben; parents Julius and Alma Kruschke; father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Clara Dietzel; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mae and Walter Bruesehoff, and LaVern and Wilmer Kroells.

Verona is survived by her loving family; brother and sister-in-law Gordon and Edna Kruschke of Lester Prairie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Ilene Dietzel of Cologne; nieces and nephews Charles and Patti Dietzel, Darrin and Penny Dietzel, Daniel and Brita Dietzel, David and Michelle Dietzel, Dawn and Josh Foust, Linda and Boyd Welch, Leann Fenske, and Mary and Don Schnaser; and other relatives and friends.
