Kevin L. Grack, 54

Kevin Lee Grack, age 54, of Glencoe, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Aug. 15, 1960, in Glencoe, the son of Norman and Arlyce (Wroge) Grack. Kevin was baptized as an infant Aug. 28, 1960, by the Rev. A.H. Fellwock; and confirmed in his faith as a youth April 7, 1974, by the Revs. E.W. Blumenkamp and N. Castens, all at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

Kevin received his education at First Evangelical Lutheran Parochial School through the eighth grade, and graduated with the Mayer Lutheran High School class of 1978 in Mayer. He furthered his education at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson.

Kevin was united in marriage to Sharon Lea Krueger Nov. 16, 1985, by the Rev. Harold Pranschke at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Kevin and Sharon made their home in Glencoe, and shared over 29 years of marriage.

Kevin first farmed around Glencoe, and then worked at HTI in Hutchinson for 20 years. He began working as a salesman for Jungclaus Implement in Glencoe, and most recently at RFA Engineering in Eden Prairie.

He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, where he served as a deacon.

Kevin was also a member of the Hutchinson Allis Chalmers Club, and the Saturday Night Cruisers.

Kevin enjoyed working around the farm, bowling, softball, and restoring his grandfather’s 1949 Chevrolet. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lea Krueger of Glencoe; parents Norman and Arlyce Grack of Glencoe; siblings Diana Easterday and her husband, Robert, of Mays Landing, NJ, Bryan Grack of Glencoe, and Michael Grack and his wife, Lisa, of Dassel; mother-in-law Violet Krueger of Sebeka; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerald Krueger and his wife, Amber, of Hibbing, Kurt Krueger and his wife, Linda, of Seattle, WA, Rita Krueger of Brooklyn Park, and Nada Miller and her husband, Kurtis, of Sauk Rapids; nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents; and father-in-law Waldemar Krueger.

A memorial service took place Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, with gathering of family and friends from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements were by Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
