Cynthia Hall, 56

Cynthia Ann (Holmquist) Hall, age 56, of Duluth, formerly of Cokato, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2015, at her home.

She was born Sept. 5, 1958, and adopted by Norman and Mae Holmquist April 21, 1961, from Minneapolis Children’s Home Society in St. Paul.

Cindy was baptized at the Lake Jennie Covenant Church in Dassel, and confirmed at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel.

Cindy grew up third generation on the family farm, and loved animals. Their horses, and showing cattle at the fair in 4-H were her favorites. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, and cross stitching.

After graduating from Dassel-Cokato High School in 1977, Cindy moved to Minneapolis and worked as a receptionist.

She was united in marriage to Russ Hall June 6, 1987, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel.

Cindy made her home in Duluth, and surrounded herself with friends. She was hardworking, and enjoyed the tourist seasons along the North Shore, working at local resorts over the years.

Cindy was very interested and knowledgeable about antiques, and loved to reminisce with her parents about the farm’s heritage.

She was a kind, generous, and loving woman, and will be greatly missed.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Russ, of Duluth; brother John (Lisa) Holmquist of Dassel; and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mae Holmquist; and her aunt, Irene Holmquist.

A memorial service took place Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel.
