Stan was born Sept. 3, 1945, in Glencoe, the son of Roy and Betty Lu (Mielke) Hasse. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.
He graduated from Waconia High School, and attended the University of Minnesota for a period of time.
Stan learned his social skill of the gift to gab from his many years of bartending at the Radisson South and the Chanhassen Dinner Theater.
Stan loved showing his Morgan horses and helping his grandchildren show their horses. He liked looking at muscle cars with his son and grandson, and attending everything he could for his grandkids, such as band and choir concerts, different programs, and sports (soccer, football, gymnastics and track).
He had a huge heart, and would be there for anyone in a moment’s notice.
Christmas was a huge time of the year for Stan. He loved to decorate and celebrate. He also enjoyed being at the farm, whether it was just sitting there taking it all in or fixing a fence.
Most of all, Stan was the best dad and grandpa anyone could ask for.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Betty Lu Hasse; and ex-wives Judy Hasse and Linda Hasse.
Stan is survived by his loving family; daughter and son-in-law Tina and Dan Schmidt of New Germany; son Tim Hasse of Norwood Young America; and grandchildren Mandi Schmidt and fiancé Jason Lueth, Courtney Schmidt, Alex Schmidt, and Katie Schmidt.
He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Larry Hasse, Kenneth and Chris Hasse, all of Excelsior; Ron and Stephanie Hasse, and Richard and Karri Hasse, all of Norwood Young America; sisters and brothers-in-law Jennie and Dale Rademacher of Waconia, and Judi and Chris Bright of Mound; nieces and nephews Lisa Hasse and fiancé Dan Lawler, Ryan Hasse, Mychal Hasse, Andy (Kalli) Hasse, MacKenzie Hasse, Nathan Hasse, Brad Rademacher, Megan Rademacher, Corey Cushing; great-nieces and nephews Briana, Nick, Kira, Parker, Gabriella, Greyson, and Griffin; and other relatives and friends.
