John Arlo Henning, age 80, of Mayer, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends.
The funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (513 Madison Street SE) in Watertown. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
There will be visitation Sunday, Aug. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m., and continuing Monday one hour prior to the service, all at the church.
Casket bearers will be Scott Hoese, Jack Hoese, Dan Hoese, Doug Hoese, Eric Hoese, Scott Welch, and Lyle Kuntz.

Arlo was born May 28, 1935, in Watertown, the son of John and Ruth (Tesch) Henning.
A life-long dairy farmer, this spring Arlo was named the Carver County Senior Dairyman of 2015.
He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, where he also served on the church council and sang in the senior choir.
He served in the Army, serving 13 months in Korea.
Arlo enjoyed gardening, baking, going to county and state fairs, and taking rides through the countryside.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin brothers, Lawrence and Lorando.
Arlo is survived by his daughter, Carol (Tony Dentz) of Apple Valley; special friend Mary Jech of Mound; nephews Warren Henning of Waverly, and Brian (Beckie) Henning of Orono; great nieces Leah and Aliza; great nephew Matt; stepdaughters Debbie, Beckie, Beth and Sarah; stepsons Brad and Burt; step grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
