Shirley A. Johnson, age 65, of Annandale, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
She was born May 20, 1949, in Watertown, the daughter of Walter and Marcella (Meuffels). Shirley was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
Shirley loved her cat, Pooh. She resided in a group family home in Annandale, which she enjoyed immensely.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marcella Poppler; brother Curtis Poppler; and sister-in-law Eileen Poppler.
She is survived by her loving family; brothers Lee (Darlene) Poppler of Watertown, and Larry Poppler of Montrose; sister-in-law Joanne Poppler of Montrose; nieces and nephews Tamara Poppler, Lisa Reed, Tony (Amy) Poppler, Julie (Michael) Grant, Kathy (Brian) Ottenstroer, Karen Bregemann, Kristine (Dale) Catis, Kimberly (Luke) Peterson, Kelly (David) Larsen, Melissa (Tim) Wallace, and Daniel Poppler; and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service took place Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia, with Father Al Backmann as officiant. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
There was visitation one hour prior to the service.
