Kimberly Elizabeth Jones, age 49, of St. Cloud, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at her home in St. Cloud, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Kimberly was born Nov. 12, 1965, in St. Cloud, to Walter and Helen (Larsen) Jones.
She was employed by the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District teaching English as a second language in grades k-12, as well as the GED program.
Kimberly was always helping others before herself. She loved gardening, flowers, dogs (especially rescued Basset Hounds), reading and British comedies. Family and friends were very dear to her.
Survivors include her sister, Karen Jones of Omaha, NE; brother, Walter “Bill” (Terrianne) Jones of Minneapolis; nieces and nephew, Kristin Rowe, Zachary Jones and Katherine Jones; significant other, Mark Bechtold and his son, Cody of St. Cloud; and many extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services took place Monday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
The Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, handled the arrangements. Memorials are preferred to the Ms. Jones Literacy Fund for Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Students.
