William P. (Bill) Koch, age 86, a lifelong resident of Maple Plain, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2015.
He was born July 2, 1928, on the family farm, which is where he also died.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy (Thomas) Koch; and sisters Del Miller and Bernie Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine; sons Tom (Sina) and Tim (Betsy); grandchildren Kyle (fiancée Kim), Carmen, Matthew, and Camille; and a sister, Lucille Lins.
Bill graduated from Mound High School in 1946.
He proudly served his country in Korea.
Bill loved many activities, including farming, gardening, wood carving, birding, and playing cards. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. Interment with military honors followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, and continued Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in church, prior to the Mass.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
