Vonnie Lou Kronback, age 59, of Hutchinson, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Hutchinson Health.
She was born Jan. 14, 1956, in Litchfield, the daughter of Albert and Viona (Schuette) Schroeder. Vonnie was baptized as an infant Feb. 1, 1956, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, by Pastor J.H. Beck; and was confirmed in her faith as a youth at All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin.
She received her elementary education in District 65 in Darwin, and was a graduate of the Litchfield High School.
Vonnie was blessed with two children, Michael and April. She resided in Darwin, and later moved to Hutchinson.
She was employed at Hutchinson Technology, Inc. for 15 years. Most recently, she was employed at the Hutchinson Health Hospital in housekeeping and the cafeteria.
Vonnie attended All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin.
A fun-loving person, Vonnie was also an avid reader. She loved animals; especially cows.
Vonnie especially cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Viona Schroeder of Hutchinson; children, Michael Kronback and his wife, Penny, of Dassel, and April Kronback and her significant other, Elvis Demir of Burnsville; grandchildren, Kylea May, Eminah Demir, and M’Teyah Demir; step-granddaughter, Melinda Williamson; step great-grandchildren, Alexia Waller, Natalie Nething, and Austine Nething; and a brother, Gary Schroeder and his wife, Shirley of Green Bay, WI.
Vonnie further survived by aunts and uncles, Celina Hoff of Hutchinson, and Ordelia “Toots” Bakken and her husband, Richard of Cold Spring; nieces, Becky Schroeder, Michelle Lancelle and her husband, Jacob, all of Green Bay, WI, Cody Fester and her husband, Duane of Grove City, and Kris Ziskovsky and her husband, Terrance of Montgomery; nephew, Erin Schroeder of Green Bay, WI; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Schroeder; and nephews, Marc Anthony Schroeder, and Eric James Schroeder.
A memorial service took place Thursday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
There was a gathering of family and friends Wednesday, April 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson, which continued Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements were by the Hantge Funeral Chapel in Darwin.
