Mark Alan “Lenny” Lange, age 49, of Watertown, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, after a short, brave battle with cancer.
He was born July 18, 1965, in Watertown, to Melvin and Arlene (Ziermann) Lange.
Mark graduated from Watertown High School in 1983.
He followed his father into the construction trade, as well as serving on the Watertown Fire Department for 25 years.
He worked as a steel burner for Waconia Manufacturing for the past 17 years.
Mark spent his waking hours outdoors doing what he loved best, fishing and hunting with close friends and relatives. He was always planning his next adventure, or building something.
Mark was also known for his willingness to give you a hand at whatever was needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Arlene Lange; and grandparents Walter and Lydia Lange and Marvin and Gladys Ziermann.
Mark is survived by his sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Salonek, and Brenda (Jim) Neaton; nieces and nephews Nathan (Connie) Salonek, Nicholas (Amy) Salonek, Brooke (Casey) Dingels, and Becky Neaton; godson Scott Neaton; stepsons Josh Wirgau, Nick Wirgau, and their mother, Kristine; goddaughter Chelsea (Jerde) Leach; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
A memorial gathering took place Friday, Jan. 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, which handled the arrangements.
