Dorothy F. “Susie” Light, age 94, of Delano, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Elim Home in Watertown.
The funeral service will take place Sunday, May 17 at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Jeffrey Engholm officiating. There will be visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at Watertown Public Cemetery.

Susie was born March 13, 1921, in Hannibal, WI, the daughter of Andrew and Alma (Splettstoeszer) Sicheneder. She was baptized in Hannibal, WI, and later confirmed in the faith at Waconia Moravian Church.
Susie was united in marriage to Wilbur B. Light Sr. Jan. 18, 1944, in Delano.
A loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Susie loved to summer and winter fish, and play cards. She had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Light; parents Andrew and Alma Sicheneder; step-father Edward Schwalbe; and other relatives and friends.
Susie is survived by her loving family: son Wilbur Light Jr. of Delano; daughter Diane (David) Filek of Delano; grandchildren Jill (Garner) Diers, and Mandy (Cory) Hausladen; great-grandchildren Grace Filek, Connor Kendall, Alec Hausladen, Jordyn Hausladen, and Levi Hausladen; brothers Vernon (Dee) Schwalbe of Mound, and Lowell (Marilyn) Schwalbe of Sun City, AZ; sisters-in-law Josephine Sicheneder of Mound, Beatrice Sicheneder of St. Bonifacius, and Anne Schwalbe of St. Paul; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
