Clemens J. Loebertman, 86

Clemens Joseph Loebertman, 86, of Browerville, formerly of Howard Lake, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.

He was born July 3, 1929, in Howard Lake, the son of Albert and Helena (Kieser) Loebertman. Clemens grew up on the family farm and attended school there. He then helped his father until entering the 82nd Air Bourne Division of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Following service, he returned to Minnesota to a farm in Maple Lake. In 1972, Clemens moved to a farm west of Long Prairie, where he farmed until he retired in 1996.

In retirement, he moved to Browerville until January 2015, when he entered the nursing home.

Clemens is survived by his special friend Wilma Finseth; his children, Scott (Melissa Loebertman, Chris Loebertman, Liana Loebertman, and Rosalie (Keith) Hagmeir; a sister, Lucille (Fritz) Olberding of Overland Park, KS; a brother, Albert (Margaret) Loebertman of Shakopee; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David; his parents, Albert and Helena; and eight brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, Oct. 26 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie, with Father Omar Guanchez presiding. Interment was at St. Timothy’s Cemetery, Maple Lake.

Arrangements were with the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Long Prairie.
