Dorothy A. (Jaekel) Moe, age 83, of Carver, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born Oct. 5, 1932, in New Germany, the daughter of Arthur A. and Viola A. (Hecksel) Jaekel. Dorothy was baptized at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany, and later confirmed in the faith.
She was united in marriage to Russell Moe July 13, 1968.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Cary Dean Vollrath; sisters Margaret Heldt of Lester Prairie, and Joanne (Duane) Lenzen of Carver; brother Leonard Jaekel of Cologne; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Anne and Dino Tumbuan; James and Nancy Moe; Edward Moe; and Shirley and Jay Gregg; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; father and mother, Arthur and Viola Jaekel; brother-in-law Earl Heldt Sr.; and sister-in-law Myra Jaekel.
Dorothy’s funeral service took place Friday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with the Rev. Andreas Custer officiating. There was visitation one hour prior to the service; Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Waconia.
