Marjorie L. Noren, age 93, of Golden Valley, formerly of Lester Prairie, passed away in her sleep Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at her home.
She was born Dec. 27, 1921.
Marjorie graduated from Lester Prairie High School with the class of 1939, and then furthered her education at Minnesota School of Business.
She retired from General Mills in 1980. While with General Mills, Marge felt privileged to be active in the Betty Crocker Homemaker Search for Tomorrow program, particularly by accompanying the scholarship recipients to a week’s stay in New York City.
A beautiful and gracious mother, wife, sister, and aunt, Marjorie will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, North and Esther Packer of Lester Prairie; brother Wayne Packer; twin sister, Merriam Packer Wycoff; and husband E.C. “Bud” Noren.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Roger Kim Noren of Golden Valley, and Ronald J. Noren of Westminster, CA; sisters Helen Popp and Conni Hines; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Services have taken place, with interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
