Fay A. Paumen, age 83, of Buffalo, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
She was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Waverly, the daughter of Myron and Irene (nee O’Conner) Stuhr.
Fay and Marvin R. Paumen were joined in holy marriage Feb. 23, 1952, at The Church of St. Timothy in Maple Lake. God blessed their marriage with eight children. Marvin passed away Feb. 23, 2012, 60 years to the day of their wedding anniversary.
Fay enjoyed making quilts, and had made 418 of them.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Faye is survived by her children, Gregory (Mary) Paumen of Elk River, Joseph (Kerry Jo) Paumen of Cortez, CO, Kathleen (Al) Mansano of Savage, Ursula Peglow of Maple Lake, Donald (Wanda) Paumen of Winsted, Thomas Paumen of St. Cloud, and Renee (Jim) Kalinowski of Buffalo; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Pat) Juno of Superior, WI; sisters-in-law Edna Knoblauch and Angie Paumen; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Marvin, Fay was preceded in death by a son, Larry Paumen.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Nathaniel Meyers as celebrant. Interment followed at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4 to 8 p.m., and continued Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the Mass.
Casket bearers were Larry Paumen, Kurt Paumen, Josh Peglow, Zach Peglow, Caleb Kalinowski, and Trent Kalinowski.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
