Ruth W. Pudas, 88

Ruth Wilma Pudas (nee Carlson), age 88, of Cokato, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 14, 2015.

She was born June 13, 1926, and had previously lived in Port Wing, WI, Brooklyn Park, MN, and Cumberland, WI.

Ruth was an amazing wife and mother.

She served as a teacher’s aide in the business classes for 20 years in the Osseo school system.

Active in her church, Ruth started and took responsibility for the Christmas and Easter Basket preparation and delivery each year. She was always volunteering where help was needed most.

Her face beamed as she sang in the choir, hosted a dinner, or gave you some rusks. Today, Ruth’s face glows brighter with no more pain. May her memory be blessed among us.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia; a son, Calvin; her mother, Bertha; father Elmer; sisters Evelyn Nelson, and Mary Ellen Pitzl; and a brother, Harold.

She is survived by the love of her life of 66 years, her husband, George; daughters Kathleen Dahl, Cheryl Dasson, and Jeanette Pudas; a son, Craig (Cheryl); grandchildren Jacob, Heidi, Ben, Aaron, Alysen, Ashley and Amanda; and many lovely great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life took place Friday, March 20 at 11 a.m. at Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church youth group for camperships.
