Carolyn “Carrie” Maria Salonek, age 51 of Shakopee, formerly of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 30, 2015.
She was born Aug. 21, 1964, in Watertown, to Leo and Marjorie (Fredericks) Salonek.
Carrie graduated from Watertown High School and the Minneapolis Business College.
She was employed as a rural postal carrier for over 17 years.
Carrie was a people person, loving to spend time with her friends and family, especially her sons. She was a talented cook and baker and enjoyed music.
She had a special place in her heart for animals, and looked forward to spending time on the family farm.
Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Leo; and a brother, Steve.
She is survived by her sons, Terry and Randy; mother Marge Salonek; siblings Jeff (Kim) Salonek, and Tim (Patty) Salonek; father of her sons, Jim Eischens; nieces and nephews: Phillip Salonek, Steven (Christina) Salonek, Shawn (Barbie) Gavin, Angie Salonek, and Stephanie Duncan; great nieces and great nephews Logan Larson, Madison Salonek, Dempsey Duncan, Leila Salonek, Gavin and Stella Salonek, Deliah Larson, and Axel Swedland; and her loving dog, Bella.
Funeral services took place Friday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown; with visitation Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, and continuing Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Arrangements were by the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
