Dolores Schultz, 87

Dolores A. Schultz, age 87, of rural Silver Lake, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015. at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.

She was born May 21, 1928 in rural Silver Lake; the daughter of Peter and Martha (Pawlak) Pawlicki.

Dolores A. Pawlicki and Theophil P. Schultz were joined in holy marriage May 31, 1949, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Dolores and Theophil engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township in McLeod County for many years.

Dolores enjoyed farming, flowers, gardening, cooking, embroidering, and collecting recipes.

She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake and belonged to C.C.W. and to the Rosary Society.

Dolores is survived by her children: Doreen (Bruce) Nowak of Dassel, DeAnn (Alan) Mickolichek, Paul (Shari) Schultz, and Donna (Brad) Lokensgard, and a daughter-in-law, Donna Schultz, all of Silver Lake; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry “Hank” Pawlicki of Silver Lake; a brother-in-law, Robert Schurmann of New Germany; a sister-in-law, Mary Jaskowiak of Silver Lake; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theophil P. Schultz Nov. 1, 2005; a son, Gordon Schultz in 1995; her parents, Peter and Martha Pawlicki; and a sister, Veronica Schurmann.

A Mass of Christian burial for Dolores A. Schultz took place Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Father Paul Schumacher was the Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.

A visitation took place Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A combined Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m., and Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Further visitation took place Saturday morning, Jan. 2 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Jeff Nowak, Josh Schultz, Chris and Bryan Mickolichek, Aaron Schultz, Kyle Schultz, Justin Sitz, and Jared Lokensgard.
