Rosalie Jane Sherer, age 69, of Winsted, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at St. Mary’s Care in Winsted.
A memorial service will take place Monday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at Ostmark Lutheran Church in Watkins, with Pastor Joe Midthun officiating. Urn bearers will be Jim Borg, and Leroy Borg.
There will be a time of gathering from noon until the time of the services at the church.

Rosalie was born June 17, 1946, in Buffalo, the daughter of Donald and Alice (Jones) Prickett.
She grew up in Montrose, and was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Montrose.
Rosalie and Gene H. Sherer were joined in holy marriage Sept. 4, 1982, at Ostmark Swedish Lutheran Church in rural Watkins.
The couple lived in rural Kingston for several years, and moved to Linden Wood Apartments in Winsted in 2002. Earlier this year, Rosalie became a resident of St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Rosalie enjoyed bingo, sewing, making quilts, and working with special needs people.
She was a member of the Ostmark Lutheran Church in rural Watkins, and belonged to its Ladies Aid.
Rosalie is survived by her loving husband, Gene H. Sherer of Winsted; a brother, Gary Prickett of Arizona; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Alice Prickett; and by her grandparents.
