Lucille Anderson Obituary – 2/24/2016


Lucille Elizabeth Anderson, age 83, of Annandale, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta.

Funeral Services will take place Monday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale, with Pastor Gary Finken officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Josh Rosten, Skip Nolan, Terry Bach, Lonny Bach, Randy Werner, and Rollie Werner will serve as pallbearers. Orma Lou Jacobsma and Christine Passig will provide music for the service.

Lucille was born May 28, 1932, in Annandale, to Clarence E. and Sadie O. (Snabb) Olson. She was raised in French Lake, where she attended Kean Country School.

Lucille was united in marriage to Harold S. Anderson July 15, 1950, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near French Lake. The couple bought a farm on the south side of Goose Lake in French Lake Township, where Lucille lived until entering hospice.

Harold preceded her in death Nov. 17, 2015.

Lucille worked 35 years for Leef Brothers Laundry in Minneapolis, and made the daily commute with Harold for most of those years.

She enjoyed spending time with family, hobby farming, fishing, and sitting on her dock with Harold.

Lucille is survived by sisters and brother, Delores (Floyd) Nolan of Annandale, LaVerne (John) Pelzer of South Haven, Barb (Dan) Rosten of Annandale, Janice (Frank) Rogers of Cokato, and Robert of Annandale; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Lorraine Werner.
