Lola Jeanne Chalupsky, age 85, of Delano, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, July 10, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos; a miscarried child, Mary Joseph; her parents, Arvid and Gladys Olson; brother Rod Olson; and several treasured relatives and friends.
Lola is survived by step children, Lorelie (Donald-d), Gary (Lynn), and Carl (Diana); her children, Stephen, Douglas (Carolyn), Theodore (Diane), Jeanne (Kent), Brian (Sandy), Judith, Mathew (Cindy), Glenn (Grace), Kenneth (Elgene), Lawrence (Donna), and Bruce (Alice); her sister, Bonnie Connor; and many beloved grandchildren, along with numerous cherished relatives and friends.
Hers was a life well-lived, having raised 14 children and helping to manage several successful businesses in partnership with her husband of 55 years, Amos. Her most precious focus was her beloved Roman Catholic faith, which she joyfully shared with all whom she encountered along her path.
Her intellect, keen wit, sense of humor, counsel and loving tenderness to family and friends, will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated Friday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary of Czestochowa in rural Delano, with the Rev. Joseph-Quoc Vuong presiding. There was visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church, and private interment.
Lola’s grandsons were the casket bearers: Todd Yager, Jon Yager, Curtis Chalupsky, David Chalupsky, Andrew Chalupsky and Geoffrey Chalupsky.
Memorials preferred to the pro-life charity of the donor’s choice.
