Michael LeRoy Czock, age 70, of Delano, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, at his lake home, which was his “heaven on earth.”
He was born July 10, 1945, in Minneapolis, to Edward and Sadie (Mackie) Czock.
Mike was a longtime meat cutter for Red Owl/Super Valu/Target and owner of Mike’s Korner Market in Delano.
A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mike was full of life and people were drawn to him. He was a gifted cook, who loved to entertain and socialize with friends and family. Mike will be remembered as a kind and fun-loving man.
He loved to work in his yard, riding his John Deere lawn tractor and grooming everything just so. Blessed with a strong work ethic, which he instilled in his family, he took particular joy in clearing the lake lot, designing the cabin, and seeing it through to becoming his beloved lake home; a family legacy.
Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Jaunich); children Lori (Larry) Elsen, Jeff (Cathy) Czock, Brian (Christine) Czock, Bradley Czock, and Curtis Czock; seven grandchildren: Betsy (Tim) Nus, Sara (Phil) Fladager, Ben (Sady) Elsen, Anna Elsen, Grace Elsen, Brandon Czock, and Tyler Czock; one great-grandchild, Emma Fladager; and his brother, Du Wayne Czock.
