Beverly Florence Decker, age 85, of Waverly, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, peacefully, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Waverly, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, and continue Thursday from 9 to 10:15 a.m., prior to Mass.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Beverly was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Bay City, MI, to Waverly and Florence (Bakeberg) Snyder.
She grew up in Howard Lake.
Bev was united in marriage to Wilfred Decker, Sr. May 25, 1949.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Bev loved children. She was a God-loving woman, and a faithful member of the Church of St. Mary in Waverly.
Bev was very witty, and her piece of advice for everyone was “keep your humor.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilfred; children Beverly Jean and Timothy Ronald; grandson Thomas Wilfred Fiecke; sister and brother-in-law Betty Lou and Henry Benjamin Bergquist; and brother Kenneth Snyder.
Bev is survived by her children, Steve (Susie) Decker, Warren Decker, Wilfred (Myra) Decker, Dave (Jackie) Decker, Rick Decker, Randy Decker (Melissa), Donny Decker, Donna Decker (Brent), Julie Decker (fiancé Jeff), and Keith “Peewee” (Kristy) Decker; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Betty Snyder.
