Agnes Marie Dixon, age 83, of rural Buffalo, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
She was born Jan. 7, 1933, in St. Leo, MN, the daughter of Mathais and Julia (Adamer) Fry.
Agnes and Earl A. Dixon were joined in holy marriage May 16, 1953, in St. Leo. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Agnes and Earl lived along Lake Charlotte for 63 years.
Agnes was an expert quilter, and a Lion’s pin trader. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gardening, and was very artistic.
She is survived by her husband, Earl A. Dixon; children Adaline Caspers and friend Frank Ruthman of Buffalo, and Christopher (Winifred) Dixon of Montrose; grandchildren Daniel Caspers, David Dixon and fiancée Melissa, all of Buffalo, and Sarah Dixon of Montrose; great-grandchildren Hunter and Jaida Dixon; a sister, Margaret Hick of New Hope; a sister-in-law, Delores Epple of Montrose; and other relatives and friends.
Agnes was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Dixon; her parents; and siblings John, Francis, Bernard, Alois, Anthony, and Virgil Fry, and Rose Wilson.
Funeral services took place Thursday, June 23 at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Park View Care Center in Buffalo with Father Nathaniel Meyers officiating. There was visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Pallbearers were Dennis Epple, Terry Rux, Frank Ruthman, Doug Skelly, Bruce Christian, and Dennis Olson.
Arrangements were with the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
