Sharon Kay Fredricks, age 77, of Cokato, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at the Hutchinson Hospital.
A memorial service will take place Monday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at Stockholm Lutheran Church, rural Cokato.
Arrangements are with the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
Sharon was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Brookings, SD, to Otto and Ina (Sakkala) Wonola. She grew up in Annandale, at the home of her uncle and aunt, Reino and Inga Hill.
Sharon graduated from Annandale High School in 1957.
She married Paul Fredricks Sept. 14, 1957, at the Stockholm Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on a farm in Stockholm Township, where they raised their family.
Sharon worked at many places, mostly doing factory work.
She had many hobbies, and enjoyed ceramics, stained glass, gardening, working on puzzles, and knitting. Family was most important to her.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Paul, of Cokato; her three sons; Craig (Darlene) of Cokato, Carl (Amy) of Howard Lake, and Chad of Cokato; and grandchildren: Cassandra Fredricks (Seth Shultz) of Sauk Rapids, Stacie (Shane) Derichs, Jasmine Meservey, all of Howard Lake, Cassidy Blazinski of Minneapolis, Brandon Blazinski, Megan Blazinski, both of Hutchinson, Aaron Fredricks of Cokato, and Erica Plath of Ortonville.
She is further survived by great-grandchildren Zoey Derichs and Joshua Kafka; a brother, Stan (Mary) Wonola of Las Vegas, NV; and many dear friends; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ina Wonola, Reino and Inga Hill; and father- and mother-in-law George and Victoria Fredricks.
