Clyde Leo Guennigsmann, age 73, of Watertown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Howard Lake, to Frank and Margaret (Keiser) Guennigsmann.
Clyde attended school at Holy Trinity in Winsted.
He worked as a farm helper and at the Winsted Creamery, before working 35 years at Temroc Metals.
Clyde was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved being outdoors, fishing and mowing lawn. He was known for teasing his family, and “kept the cactus close by.”
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and many siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene; children Michael (Patty), Marie Wall (friend Scott Richter), Michelle (Joe) Mcleran, and Dean (Nicole); seven grandchildren, Dillion (Ashley) Jobe, Bradley (fiancé Austyn) Wall, Danny Wall, Holly Guennigsmann, Sara Guennigsmann, Easton Guennigsmann and Deklan Guennigsmann; great-grandchild Brinley Jobe; siblings John (LaVonne) Guennigsmann, Clifford (LeAnna) Guennigsmann, Marcy (Karen) Guennigsmann, Elmarina Fautsch, Marlys Briesiemiester, and Ralph Guennigsmann; sister-in-law Jan Guennigsmann; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services took place Thursday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. There was a gathering of family and friends from 9 to 11 a.m., at the church, prior to the service.
Arrangements were with by the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
