Anita M. Hoese, 95

Anita M. Hoese, age 95, of Mayer, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Elim Home in Watertown.

She was born May 24, 1920, in Young America Township, the daughter of Herman and Mathilda (Eisenmann) Luedtke. Anita was baptized June 27, 1920, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America by the Rev. A. Baumhoefner; and confirmed March 25, 1934 at the same church by the Rev. M.F. Abraham.

She graduated from Central High School in Norwood with the class of 1938.

Anita was united in marriage to Paul G. Hoese June 11, 1938, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America by the Rev. W. Kramer.

A very hard worker, Anita always helped out at the farm wherever she was needed. She had a welcoming personality, and always had something to eat and a cup of coffee ready when people would stop by.

Anita was proud of her five sons and what they had accomplished in life. She had a garden, where she grew vegetables, fruits and her lilacs. She enjoyed playing old tyme music throughout the day in her home.

Anita was a championship limerick writer, and won many contests in the Carver County area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hoese; son Michael Hoese; grandson Brian Hoese; parents Herman and Mathilda Luedtke; brother George Luedtke; and sisters Mabel Herrmann, and Delores Neumann.

Anita is survived by her loving family: sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Lavonne Hoese of New Hope, Luther and Eyvonne Hoese of Granite Falls, Charles Hoese of Clear Lake, and Ronald and Karen Hoese of Mayer; grandchildren Lisa and Rob Ingvalson, Eric and Christine Hoese, Nathan Hoese and special friend Jolene, Jason and Jenni Hoese, Greg Hoese and special friend Sarah, Amy and Chris Schultz, Kristine and Mark Friske, Ben and Sarah Hoese, Tim and Lynn Hoese, and Becky and Rob Wagenbach; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Anita’s funeral service took place Friday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer, with the Rev. Adam Gless officiating. Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Mayer.

There was visitation Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Casket bearers were Jason Hoese, Greg Hoese, Andrew Hoese, Graham Hoese, Ben Hoese, Tim Hoese, and Nate Hoese.
