Iva ‘Ivy’ Johnson, 82

Iva “Ivy” Johnson, age 82, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, of dementia.

Her funeral service will take place Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.

There will be a gathering of family and friends Thursday, Feb. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake; and will continue Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Bright On Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.

Ivy was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Chicago, IL, to Ernest and Beulah (Tribble) Gloff.

She was united in marriage to Robert Johnson May 9, 1953.

Ivy was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and friend to many.

She is survived by her children, John (Meggan) Johnson, Dawn (Roy) Freid, Ed (Dawn) Johnson, and Tina (Scott) Wagner; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Ivy was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert (Bob) Johnson; mother Beulah Gloff; father Ernest Gloff; step mother Iva Gloff; brother Milton Gloff; and an infant son.
