Susan D. Kegler Obituary – 4/17/2016


Susan Diane Kegler, age 66, of Winsted, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.

She was born Dec. 16, 1949, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Sig and Mary (Webb) Quenemoen.

Susan and Steven H. Kegler were joined in holy marriage Dec. 11, 1971, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four daughters.

Sue and Steve formerly owned Keg’s Bar in Winsted. Sue also was formerly employed at 3M in Hutchinson, Gage in Howard Lake, Subway in Winsted and Delano, and Ellis Trading in Maple Plain.

She enjoyed sewing, especially quilts and costumes; was an avid reader, and collected Halloween items. Sue loved to help people, and enjoyed all children.

She is survived by her husband, Steven H. Kegler; four daughters: Stefanie (Jacob) Froehle, Amanda Kegler, Elizabeth (William) Kruschel, and Mary (Edward) Hart; two grandchildren: Steven and Wesley Froehle; two brothers: James and Guy Quenemoen; and other relatives and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services took place Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher officiating. There was visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the services.
