Jon F. Menke, 62, of Bandon, OR, formerly of Cokato, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
There will be a memorial service at North Crow River Lutheran Church, rural Cokato, Sunday, April 30 at noon.
Jon was born Feb. 4, 1954, in Minneapolis, the son of Henry and Janet Menke.
He attended school in Minneapolis until the family moved to a farm northwest of Cokato in 1968. Jon graduated from Cokato High School in 1972.
After high school, he completed the nondestructive testing program at the technical college in Hutchinson.
Jon had lived in several states throughout the years, most recently in Oregon.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and photography; especially taking pictures of lighthouses along the west coast.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Janet Menke.
He is survived by his family: wife Danga Menke of Oregon; daughter Nicole (Jeremy) Tupa of Cokato; son Harrison Menke of Dassel; step-daughter Vaiva Audinyte (Alan) of Oregon; grandchildren Anthony Tupa, Joseph Tupa and Vincent Tupa; and other relatives and friends.
