Gale Mickolichek, 54

Gale Francis Mickolichek, age 54, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Silver Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Scottsdale, AZ at The Scottsdale Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, April 4 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Special music will be by Bobbi Ludewig. Gift bearers will be Alan Mickolichek and Russell Mickolichek; and readers for the Mass will be Megan Mickolichek, Lindsay Popelka, and Carmen Brincefield. Private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.

There will be a time of gathering from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.

Urn bearer will be Larry Mickolichek.

Gale was born July 26, 1961, in Glencoe, the son of Floyd and Margaret (Rozeske) Mickolichek.

He spent the last 24 years in Arizona.

Gale enjoyed the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, hunting, fishing, and volleyball (sand volleyball during the summer); and was a huge Vikings fan. He was also fond of country music, especially Johnny Cash.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Mickolichek (Harvey Klossner); brothers Alan (Deann) Mickolichek, Russ (Corrine) Mickolichek, and Larry (Jeanette) Mickolichek; a sister, Laurie (Ron) Vorlicek; children Tim (Kelly) Mickolichek, and Jennifer (Josh) Buckholt; grandsons Jaylen and Rylan Mickolichek; special friend Pam; and other friends in Arizona.

Gale is further survived by aunts Agnes Fiecke, Gerry Mickolichek, and Karen Micholichek; nephews Chris Mickolichek (Kara), and Bryan (Brittany) Mickolichek; nieces Lindsay (Cory) Popelka, Carmen (Leland) Brincefield, Megan Mickolichek (Adam), Jamie Mickolichek (Adam), and Tiffany Vorlicek; and many cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Mickolichek.
