Paul F. Neumann, 92

Paul Frank Neumann, age 92, of Winsted passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the celebrant, and Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

There was visitation Sunday, April 10 from 4 to 8 p.m.. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday morning, April 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Aaron Neumann, Chris Neumann, Jeff Wiemiller, Tony Kahle, Brandon Neumann, Joey Neumann, and Jack Neumann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for the Holy Trinity New Entrance Building Fund.

Paul was born March 26, 1924, in Hollywood Township, Carver County, the son of Clemens and Clara (Hoffmann) Neumann.

He was joined in holy marriage to Elaine Jagodzinski July 1, 1950, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with 10 children.

Paul and Elaine engaged in dairy farming for many years in Hollywood Township, Carver County.

Paul enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing cards, fishing, going to the cabin up north, singing and harmonizing, and listening to old time music – especially played by his good friend, Vern Farber.

He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and also belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Paul is survived by his loving children: Douglas (Nancy) Neumann, Dean (Sue) Neumann, Luanne (Bill) Wiemiller, all of Winsted, Gerald (Donna) Neumann of Chisago City, James Neumann, Paul Neumann, Elaine (Kevin) Kahle, Joseph (Melissa) Neumann, all of Winsted, and John (Brenda) Neumann of Shakopee; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by a brother: Robert Neumann of Fargo, ND; sisters Sophia “Toby” Karels of Hopkins, and Eldora Miller of Howard Lake; and other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, Nov. 17, 2004; a son, Larry “Stosh” Neumann in 1996; his parents, Clemens and Clara Neumann; and by three sisters.
