Derek Daniel Nolan, age 21, of Cokato, passed away recently with his family by his side.
He was born Oct. 17, 1994, in Hutchinson, to Dan and Debbie (Heuer) Nolan. Derek was baptized at the French Lake Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School in 2013.
Derek enjoyed computer gaming and going to movies with his friends. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, and riding his ATVs, bikes, and go-carts.
Derek had a huge heart and talent for helping people.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harlen and Marie Nolan, Maryetta Sale, and Ronald Heuer.
Derek is survived by his parents; and several aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Derek’s life took place Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, with a time of gathering two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment followed at the Albion Free Cemetery.
