Jim J. Pierson, age 50, of Mayer, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born Nov. 22, 1966, in Winsted, the son of Gary and Tana (Kankerlik) Pierson. Jim was baptized April 16, 1967, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America by the Rev. Rudolph Reith; and confirmed Dec. 1, 2007, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany by the Rev. Allen Holthus.
Jim loved spending time with his children; they were the apple of his eye.
His true passion was farming and being out with nature. Jim was an excellent bowler, and liked playing cards and different board games.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary.
Jim is survived by his loving family: wife Susie Kletscher; children Alexandra, Brooke and Wyatt Pierson; mother Tana Pierson of Mayer; brother Bill (Merri) Pierson of Silver Lake; niece Morgan Pierson and friend Greg Mathews; nephews Devin Pierson and Zachary Pierson; brother-in-law Kent Kletscher and friend Heidi; nieces Charlotte and Olivia; and other relatives and friends.
Jim’s funeral service took place Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany with the Rev. LeRoy LaPlant officiating. Interment was at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery in New Germany.
There was visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Casket bearers were Tim White, Randy Weibel, Joe Janakula, Joe Hausladen.
