Irene J. Salveson, age 78, of Watertown, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
She was born June 22, 1937, in Lake Mills, IA, to Isaac and Mary (O’Rourke) Jackson.
Irene was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Crawford Lake. She was a great mother; loved her family, music, and baking.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; son Michael; parents; and brother Robert Jackson.
She is survived by her children, Janice (John) Monahan, David Salveson, and Richard (Maria) Salveson; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy Monahan, Jacob (Cassie) Salveson, Julie Monahan (special friend Justin Bren), Angela (Joe) Rask, Bradley (Traci) Salveson, Jordan Salveson, Ryan Salveson (special friend Brooke Williams), Corey Salveson (special friend Madison Day), Christopher Salveson, and Kevin Salveson; six great-grandchildren: Jayce, Connor, Jayden, Aubree, Rose, and Paisley; and a sister, Gilma Richter.
A memorial service took place Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose, with a gathering of family and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
