David Ronald Schultz, age 62, of Silver Lake, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at his home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1954, in Hutchinson, the son of Ernest F. and Fidelia O. (Quast) Schultz.
David was formerly employed at Hutchinson Manufacturing for over 35 years.
He was a free spirit and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, especially in the Rocky Mountains. David also enjoyed being in his garage fixing things and hanging out with his beloved dog, Lesley.
He is survived by his siblings: Sandy Wozniak (Leonard) of Cokato, Susan McGregor (Phil) of Minnetonka, Barb Schultz of Winsted, and Robert Schultz of El Paso, TX; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Fidelia; and the love of his life, Dawn Guggemos.
A memorial service took place Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, with a eulogy by Sandy Wozniak at 6:30 p.m. Prayer was led by Phil McGregor, and music was provided by Stacy Spurzem.
Dave wanted to be cremated and his ashes to be spread in the Rocky Mountains.
