Owen Edward “Ole” Seck, age 87, of Watertown, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016.
Services will be held in spring 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Arrangements are with the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
Owen was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Watertown Township, to Fred and Cora (Hedtke) Seck. He was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Watertown Township; and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown, in 1943.
He attended Watertown High School, graduating in 1947.
Owen served in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954, and was stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict.
He married Ukiyo “Linda” Shimada Feb. 7, 1955, in Fukuoka, Japan.
Owen worked for Fratzke Implement for six years, before going into the restaurant business with Linda. The couple owned and operated Linda’s Café in Watertown for 30 years.
Ole enjoyed watching and playing (in his younger years) all sports. He could always be seen in the stands at Red Devils games or at the high school football field when one of his sons was playing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles.
Owen is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Steve and Tony; grandsons Brandon and Jordan Seck; a sister, Marlene Bender; and a nephew, Mark Bender.
