Mark Matt Vogelsang, age 49, of Howard Lake, passed away March 11, 2016.
He was born Dec. 15, 1966, in St. Cloud, and baptized there. Mark was confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.
He graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly High School in 1986, and furthered his education at Hutch Tech, receiving a degree in electronics and automotive.
Mark was highly intelligent in the field of electronics, and would take things apart just to see how they worked. Currently, he was employed by Pentair in New Brighton.
He enjoyed playing video games, going to movies, listening to music, taking photos, and traveling.
Mark is survived by his father and mother, Gerald and Donna Vogelsang; siblings Brian (Jan) Vogelsang, Nancy (Doug) Neumann, Darlyce Vogelsang (and Robert Smith), and Janice (Steve) Edmonson; nephews and nieces Christina Roberts, Stacy Riemer, Aaron Neumann, Nick Neumann, Katie Heins, Amy Johnson, Adam Johnson, Amanda Edmonson and Stephanie Edmonson; and 18 great-grandnephews and grandnieces.
Funeral services took place Wednesday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. Interment was at St. James Lutheran Cemetery on Dutch Lake.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake, and continued Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers were Aaron Neumann, Nick Neumann, Adam Johnson, Jamie Heins, Steve Gatz and David Carriveau.
The Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake handled the arrangements.
