Charles D. Weber, 77

Charles Daniel Weber, age 77, of Howard Lake, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at St. Mary’s Garden House in Winsted.

He was born July 27, 1938, in Howard Lake, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Guggemos) Weber.

Charles married Rosemary Bayerl April 22, 1961, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and they were blessed with nine children.

Charlie was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

He also belonged to the American Legion, and enjoyed Chihuahua dogs.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosemary; children: Kathleen (Derek) LaZarre, Steve (Janelle) Weber, Todd (Tina) Weber, Michael (Candi) Weber, Brenda (Pat) Fogarty, Gene (Debbie) Weber, Carrie Weber, Bradley Weber (Ryan), and Kelly (Steve) Sale; 31 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a twin sister and brothers: Carol Nelson, Ruben (Mertis) Weber, Mark Weber, and Gary (Margie) Weber; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Severin Weber; and by a sister, Alma.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment followed with military rites at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, May 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 5 p.m., and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Further visitation followed Monday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Casket bearers were Spenser Weber, Connor Weber, Colton Weber, Colin Fogarty, Joshua Weber and Tyler Sale.
