Jane T. Weise Obituary – 1/14/2016


Jane Teresa Weise, 68, of Kalispell, MT, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Brendan House in Kalispell, due to complications from breast cancer.

She was born June 3, 1947, in Grand Island, NE.

She earned degrees in math, physics, and computer science from Chadron State, NE.

Jane was a computer analyst for the Navy Logistics Command in Norfolk, VA, where she met and married the love of her life, Lt. Col. David Weise, US Army.

David, a 1956 Lester Prairie High School graduate, is the son of Gilbert and Cora Weise, former owners of what was once known as the Weise Memorial Chapel in Lester Prairie.

For the next 21 years, Jane was the ideal Army wife, making homes and doing community work in foreign countries and five states, while rearing two children, son Eric, and daughter Jacki.

Jane retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in Utah as a senior computer analyst.

Her hobbies included ceramics and, upon moving to Montana in 2005, she joined the Artists and Craftsmen of the Flathead, and did volunteer work in the Kalispell Library.

Jane is survived by her husband, David; son, Eric, wife Heather, and their children Kora and Kila; daughter Jacki Kovenesky and husband Jared; and sisters Kay Gishpert and husband John, and Mary Nance.

A celebration of Jane’s life will take place at a later date. The Buffalo Hill Funeral Home in Kalispell, MT is handling the arrangements.
