Myra I. Wright, age 75, of South Haven, and formerly of Montrose, passed away at her residence Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016.
She was born May 16, 1940, in Watertown, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Rolf) Graunke.
Myra and Gary L. Wright were joined in holy marriage March 19, 1965, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose. God blessed their marriage with two sons, Mike and Paul.
Gary preceded Myra in death May 26, 1998.
Myra and Eugene Kusha were joined in marriage May 8, 2005, at St. Mary’s Czestochowa Church in rural Delano.
Myra was formerly employed at Tonka Toys, and Red’s Café, and also did housecleaning in the Wayzata area for many years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers, playing cards, fishing, garage sales, and especially, her grandchildren.
Myra is survived by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Kusha of South Haven; her sons, Mike (Kellie) Wright, and Paul Wright, both of Montrose; four grandchildren: Brittany, Samantha, Kurt and Kirstin; step daughters: Linda Danielson of Delano, Kim (Chris) Capaul of Mayer, and Tammie (Rick) Trevena of Eden Prairie; 14 step grandchildren, and eight step great-grandchildren; sisters Carol (Garry) Brausen of Buffalo, Janice (Norris) Hirsch of Nevis, Donna Brown of Minneapolis, and Leora (Eldon) Krause of Delano; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her first husband, Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Emma Graunke; brothers Willard, Merlin, Wilbur, Delphon and Orville Graunke; and by an infant sister, Ethel.
Funeral services took place Saturday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montrose, with Pastor James Grabitske officiating. Private interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
There was visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
