James “Jim” Bellingham, age 52, of Maple Plain, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, with his family by his side.
He was born June 5, 1965, in Duluth, to Charles and Mary (Sutter) Bellingham. Jim attended school in Orono, and then North Hennepin Technical School.
He worked at a variety of locations over the years, including MPFC in Maple Plain and Functional Industries in Buffalo.
Jim was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, and the Knights of Columbus Council 9601.
He enjoyed the bi-weekly “Circle of Friends” get-togethers; and loved fishing, playing poker with the KC’s, golf, and bowling. Jim was also an all-around sports lover, especially hockey. He was the namesake of the famous race horse, Jim B.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Chuck.
He is survived by his mother, Mary; siblings Robert (Kelly), Mark, John (Debbie), and Janet (James); and six nieces and nephews: Chelsea, Trent, Conor, Zoe, Elliot, and Oskar.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. There was visitation Wednesday Oct. 25 at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continued Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery.
