Clyde E. Brandon, age 83, of Darwin, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at the Lakeview Ranch in Darwin.
A memorial service will take place later in the spring at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel, which is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Clyde was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Tennessee. He grew up in St. Louis, MO, where he graduated from high school in 1950.
Clyde was baptized in the Christian faith as a young child.
In 1980, Clyde was united in marriage to Sally Albu in Denmark. The couple made their home in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Tampa Bay, FL, before they moved to Litchfield, MN.
Clyde moved to Dassel in 1988, where he made his home until 2011, when he moved to rural Darwin.
For several years, Clyde was employed at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where he delivered airline meals to departing airplanes.
In the late 1990s, he was employed as a greeter at the Walmart in Hutchinson, before having to retire due to his health.
Clyde enjoyed spending time fishing, was a wonderful cook, and loved music.
He is survived by his son, Cory, of Aberdeen, SD; two granddaughters, Jayden Shae Brandon of Aberdeen, SD, and Hailie Marie Fischer of Mitchell, SD; as well as other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and other family members.
