Vincent Clement DeMars, age 72, of Buffalo and Ft. Myers Beach, FL, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. There will be visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Vince was born Aug. 21, 1944, in Elk River, to Gerald and Florence (Zachman) DeMars.
He graduated from St Mary’s Catholic High School in Waverly in 1962.
Vince served in Vietnam with the US Army 1st Air Calvary, returning home to marry Judy Scheuble in 1968.
He was employed as a tool maker for local companies, most recently Hutchinson Technology Incorporated.
An active man, Vince enjoyed many activities including traveling, reading, history, volleyball, motorcycling, and anything competitive.
He enjoyed seven years of retirement, spending winters in Ft Meyers Beach, FL.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Florence DeMars; brothers Cyril and Ray DeMars; brother-in-law Melvin Scheuble; and nephews Lucas Rasset and Michael DeMars.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; son Chris (Stephanie) DeMars; daughter Nichole (Kip) Kalamaha; and grandchildren Anthony DeMars and Makayla DeMars; siblings Francis (Lana) DeMars, Phillip (Kim) DeMars, Catherine (David Cooley) DeMars, Jeanne (Conrad) Derus, Larry (Kathy) DeMars, Neal (Sue) DeMars, Victoria (Bob) Kalinowski, and Annette (Ken) Kaiser; sister-in-law Sherry DeMars; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
