Dwight J. Eggert, age 73, of Motley, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, from complications of Parkinson’s and dementia.
He was born Nov. 16, 1943, in Milaca, to Dorothy (Stanchfield) and Alvin Eggert.
Dwight loved his family beyond words. Also close to his heart were his dear friends, church family, and his beloved pets.
Most of all, Dwight loved his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Alvin Eggert; and his son, Joel.
Dwight will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Judy; daughters, Stacey (Mike) Basse of Seattle, Lori (Jeff) Maus of Waverly, and Paula Konczal of Elk River; seven grandchildren, Emily, Cole, Amanda, Rhiannon, Ben, Zac, and Keegan; two great-granddaughters, Lexi and Hayley; brothers Curt (Deb) Eggert of Brainerd, Dennis (Dian) Eggert of Crosby, and Roger (Chris) Eggert of Isle; also many other family and friends.
Dwight was passionate about sales as his profession during his lifetime.
He loved the outdoors and the many “projects” he would embrace. He was extremely proud of his red 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
A memorial service took place Thursday, Sept. 28 at 11 am. at the Motley Free Methodist Church, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. There was a gathering of family and friends from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Private interment at Wendall Hills Cemetery in Milaca.
